Every now and then, we hear from a customer who feels our prices have gone up — and they’re right. But we’d love to tell you why that is, and why we still believe Bear Necessities offers some of the best value in leather goods today.
When we started Bear Necessities ten years ago, we consciously priced ourselves low as we wanted to make quality leather products accessible to all. We wanted to offer a thoughtful alternative to big, often overpriced, local and international brands — something locally made, durable, and highly functional.
Back then, we were a small operation. Today, we’re proud to be a homegrown brand that’s grown alongside the local market — and even helped shape it. In fact, we’ve noticed many brands following our lead, which is something we wear as a badge of honor.
But with growth comes new challenges.
As the market gets more crowded, we've had to make some thoughtful decisions — including a careful adjustment to our pricing. Yes, our prices have gone up, but for good reason. While we may now cost more than some smaller or off-market brands, we’re still significantly more affordable than luxury leather labels — while offering products that last longer.
A bag from Bear Necessities is crafted from thick, premium leather, not flimsy off-cuts or synthetic blends. We never cut corners on stitching, hardware, or finishing. In fact, if used right, your bag or wallet should last at least a decade. Compare that to many well-known foreign brands (think CK, Kate Spade), where fraying or wear begins within a year.
Another thing that sets us apart? Free lifetime repairs. If our promise of quality does not convince you, how about free repairs anytime during your product's life? Whether it’s a worn-out zip, a popped rivet, or just a polish and wax, we take pride in servicing our products long after they’ve left our workshop. Not many brands do this — and certainly not for free.
We won’t claim to have the world’s finest leather or the most exquisite craftsmanship — but we do take pride in offering something rare: thoughtfully designed, functional, and durable leather goods at a fair price. When you consider the quality, utility, and longevity of our bags, we believe they stand toe-to-toe with much more expensive brands. Don’t just take our word for it — compare for yourself. Let’s not forget the economic reality: Pakistan has faced significant inflation over the past few years, affecting everything from raw materials to wages. We’ve absorbed costs for as long as we could, but eventually, some of that impact had to be reflected in our pricing.
We don’t think so. When you factor in quality, longevity, service, and the story behind every piece, we believe our products are a steal.
