Where are you located?
Our workshop is located in Karachi, Pakistan. This is where all Bear Necessities products are handcrafted and shipped from.
How long does delivery take?
Within Pakistan: Orders are typically delivered within 10–14 days, including production time. Some orders, especially of smaller products, may be delivered sooner. You will receive a more accurate estimate during the order confirmation call.
International Orders: Delivery usually takes 2–3 weeks, depending on the destination.
What are your delivery charges?
We offer free delivery on all orders within Pakistan.
International shipping charges vary based on the weight and destination of your order and are calculated at checkout.
What kind of leather do you use?
We primarily use premium full-grain Crazy Horse, Pull-Up, and vegetable-tanned leather, all made from buffalo hides. These leathers are known for their durability, character, and the beautiful patina they develop over time.

Isn't leather bad for the environment? What about the animals?
If animal welfare is your primary concern, choosing not to buy leather is a perfectly valid decision. However, it's worth noting that cattle are not raised for leather production. Bovine leather is a by-product of the meat and dairy industries.
As long as beef is consumed, hides will continue to exist. If they aren't used to make leather, they are often discarded or processed for other purposes. According to the Leather Working Group, only around 8–10% of a cow's value comes from its hide, making it economically unviable to raise cattle for leather alone.
While vegan alternatives do not rely on livestock, most are petroleum-based (i.e., plastic), even when marketed as containing natural ingredients such as cactus or apple. They are also generally less durable than high-quality natural leather.
Will my product look exactly like the one shown on the website?
Not necessarily—and that's part of what makes genuine leather so special.
Because we use natural, full-grain leather, slight variations in colour, texture, and grain pattern are to be expected. Differences in lighting, photography, and screen settings may also affect how colours appear.
No two animals live the same life, and every hide tells its own story. These natural characteristics are what give each Bear Necessities product its unique personality.

What if the product I receive is defective or I simply don't like it?
If your product arrives with a manufacturing defect, you may return it at no cost for a refund or exchange.
If you'd like to return a product for any other reason, you're welcome to do so at your own shipping expense for a refund or store credit.

Absolutely! We offer free lifetime repairs and refurbishment on all Bear Necessities products.

Are all your products handmade?
Yes. Every Bear Necessities product is handcrafted by experienced artisans using traditional leatherworking tools and techniques.
While the manufacturing process is largely done by hand, some components are machine-stitched to ensure durability and consistency.
How do I care for my Bear Necessities product?
We recommend applying a high-quality leather wax or conditioner to your BN product every 3 to 5 months, or as needed.
Regular conditioning helps:
- Keep the leather soft and supple.
- Reduce the appearance of scratches and scuffs.
- Improve water resistance.
- Extend the life of your product.

Can I get a custom product made?
At the moment, we do not offer fully custom-made products. Custom orders require extensive sampling and significantly increase both production time and cost.
However, we can accommodate minor modifications to some of our existing designs. If you have something in mind, please get in touch with us before placing your order.
Do you offer custom engraving?
We offer engraving of monograms or initials on selected products for a small additional cost.
